Homesick for Heaven

When you think of heaven what is the first thing that comes to mind?

Is it something like pearly gates and angels dressed in white or streets of gold and mansions of sizes untold? Do you imagine God on His throne with a choir of angels singing in perfect harmony? Whatever you imagine, I know that it will be a million times more than anyone could ever dream up.

1 Corinthians 2:9 says " No eye has seen, nor ear has heard, Nor have entered into the hearts of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

How do you even begin to comprehend the fact that no one has ever entertained the thought even close to the proximity of what heaven will be like. I have got a pretty vivid imagination, and it blows my mind that God is preparing a place that cannot be known by the hearts and minds of mankind. Like...... what kinda construction does God have going on up there that I can't even imagine.

In a single word, this is what I think of when I think of heaven!

Like ya'll, can we be stoaked about the fact that we have a home in heaven with Jesus waiting for our arrival! THIS IS LEGIT.......SOOOOO EXCITING!!!!!!! If this kind of stuff doesn't pump you up to get up and tackle the day and get watching and preparing for the second coming of the Lord I have NO idea what will!

We have the hope and assurance of Eternal Life and the smiling face of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ awaiting us in Heaven! I CANNOT wait to walk through those pearly gates and see the face of Jesus... just imagine this with me for a second... we get to see JESUS... THE SON OF GOD!

The same Jesus who walked on water, healed the sick & disabled, calmed the stormy sea, was born as a babe in manger. THIS IS THE SAME JESUS!

He overcame death and the grave and defeated sin once and for all!

This is the SAME JESUS who went to the cross for each one of us.

We get to see those precious nail-pierced hands... the hands that carried my cross up Calvary, the hands that formed you in the womb and placed a divine purpose over your life. We will see the scars of the crown of thorns worn on His head. The precious head that was bowed in shame, my shame, your shame, that He took.

We will get to see His beautiful feet, the feet that carried Him in humility from the cradle to the cross. We will get to look into those eyes, eyes that only looked at us with love and compassion when we deserved the exact opposite. We will enjoy perfect and undivided commune with God, our Creator and Heavenly Father.

What a day that will be

When my Jesus I shall see

And I look upon his face

The one who saved me by his grace

When he takes me by the hand

And leads me through the Promised Land

What a day, glorious day that will be

This is more of a reminder than anything, that a day is coming. Sooner and sooner every minute and hour, when we will finally get to meet Jesus face to face. As I type this on my computer I am smiling like a fool because of the joy I have knowing I get to meet Jesus, and it’s getting closer everyday!! If you do not know Jesus, I plea with you from the bottom of my heart to seek Him while he may be found. He welcomes all with open arms.

Get homesick for heaven ya'll!

Love Chelsea💕
